Lena Kunz is a post-doc research fellow at the Department of Legal History and Roman Law of the University of Heidelberg Law School (Germany). In 2007, she started working as Assistant Professor at the University of Heidelberg Law School. She also lectured at the Universidad de Antofagasta (Chile) and was a research fellow at the University of California at Berkeley, the Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao, Spain), the Universidad de Complutense de Madrid (Spain), and the Università degli Studi di Siena (Italy).
Her research fields are Trusts & Estates, Property, Legal History, and Comparative Law. She received her law degrees from the Ministry of Justice of Baden-Württemberg (Germany) and her doctorate in law from the University of Heidelberg (summa cum laude). Besides she clerked at the Supreme Court for Administrative Matters of Baden-Württemberg (Germany) in the panel for zoning law and worked for the European Commission (Directorate-General Justice, Civil Justice Policy) in Brussels (Belgium). She earned her LL.M. degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
