It’s easy to appreciate the value of Georgetown’s terrific location in the nation’s capital.
But our strategic position in Washington, D.C., means more than just a short walk to the U.S. Capitol or the Supreme Court. Our centers and institutes play an important role in shaping public policy and debate, whether it’s assisting the experts in researching global tobacco control or helping cities and states tackle the problems of climate change.
Regular lectures, conferences and symposia throughout the year allow students to join the conversation. And to listen: At our Supreme Court Institute, students hear Supreme Court advocates deliver a compelling oral argument even before even the justices do. It’s just part of what happens at Georgetown Law every day.
